Karren Weichert


Under Karren’s leadership, Midland Care has grown from a small, volunteer hospice program to one of the leading community-based providers of home focused services in Kansas.


Zach Ahrens, ACHE

Vice President – Strategic Initiatives

Zach came to Midland Care in 2018 after serving on the Board of Directors with experience leading organizations through growth and change. He oversees marketing, communications, development, intake, Care Access Line (CAL), and special projects.


Cindy Crabb

Vice-President of Finance/CFO

Cindy came to Midland in 2018 with over 30 years of financial and management experience. She oversees the Finance and Human Resource Departments.


Marsha Kent, RN, BSN, MSA

Vice-President of Clinical Services

Marsha has over thirty years of experience in health care and has been involved in home health and hospice programs for over twenty years. At Midland Care, she oversees all clinical service programs.


Kerri Mosinski, MSW

Vice-President of Community & New Program Development

Kerri has over 25 years of experience in hospice and palliative care programs. At Midland Care she oversees bereavement, volunteer and community programs.


Charles Gregory Nelson, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Nelson came to Midland Care in 2007, following 18 years in private practice. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine and is a dedicated advocate for palliative care.


Heidi Pickerell

President/CEO of Meals on Wheels and the Vice-President of Senior Services

Heidi has spent her career working to empower individuals and caregivers to remain in their homes as long as possible. At Midland Care, she oversees all senior service programs.


Jesse Ramirez

Vice-President of Administrative and Operational Support Services

Jesse has served in multiple capacities at Midland Care, overseeing facilities and technology systems to ensure safety and security for our patients and their families.


David Wensel, DO

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Wensel has been with Midland Care since 2010, and has been instrumental in the development of PACE. He became a fellow of the American Academies of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) in 2012.
