Grief Support Groups
Grief Support Groups provide opportunities for participants to share memories, express thoughts and feelings, and learn coping strategies to deal with loss issues. To register for a group, please contact Grief and Loss Services Staff. All groups are for persons who are grieving the death of a special person in their lives. Groups are led by Midland Care staff and professionally trained volunteers. Individual grief support is also available upon request.
Adults: Support groups are available in Topeka and Carbondale. If you wish to attend an Adult Group, please contact Grief and Loss staff for an informational visit, support groups days and times.
Children, Teens and Families: Family Evenings offer support to children and youth who have suffered loss. Parents participate in a specialized group at the same time. We also provide individual and family counseling.
All grief support groups (except Carbondale) and sessions are held at Midland Care Center for Hope and Healing at 1112 SW 6th Avenue in Topeka. For more information, please call 785-232-2044 or 800-491-3691.
